Prologue
A tall blond woman with a supermodel body was lying on the couch holding her little baby girl. When down walked a tall muscular man with short brown hair blue eyes and was wearing brown shorts and a white t-shirt.
“Is Cody asleep?” Zac asked.
“Yes he’s asleep,” Martha replied.
“Mar I’m sorry but I have to leave,” Zac said as he walked over to the window right in front of the piano.
“I know,” Martha said with a sigh.
Zac put his hand on the gold doorknob and opened the front door. Zac waved good bye to his wife and baby girl sitting on the couch as he closed the front door. He walked over to his maroon mustang and opened the car door. Zac put the key into the ignition. With a mighty roar and a squeak he was gone.

(Three years later)
“Okay kids time for cake,” Martha said leading the kids into the house.
All the kid ran in to the house to get some cake. Knock knock.
“I’ll get it,” I said as I ran to the door.
“Hey Cody Happy birthday is your mom here?” Zac said as he looked around in the house.
“Yes she is daddy,” I said as Bella ran into the couch.
“Aaaaahh,” Bella cried.
Mom ran into the room. She picked up Bella and started rocking her back a forth. She started walking towards the front door when she saw him.
“Zac?” Martha asked.
“Yep it’s me,” Zac answered.
“I’ve missed you so much,” Martha said.
“Me too Mar,” Zac said as he sat down on the couch.
“I better go and cut the cake. Will you hold Bella?” Martha said.
“Sure,” Said Zac.
Zac reached out to hold Bella and Martha sat her in his arms. Bella squeaked for a couple of seconds, but then she calmed down. Zac kept starting into her deep green eyes. Bella started to smile and giggle.
“Dada,” Bella said with a giggle.
“Yes that’s right,” Zac said.
“Do you want to play with me?” Bella asked.
“I don’t know,” Zac said.
Zac kept pondering and pondering on how Bella remembered that he was her dad. In fact Martha was saying his name before he would answer.
“Ohh sorry,” Zac said.
“It’s okay,” Martha said.

(Six years later)
“Mom why do we have to move?” I questioned.
“Well, I’m going back to BYU to finish my Master degree in Biology plus I have an old college friend that still lives there,” Martha said.
“Why can’t I live with dad?” I asked almost yelling.
“Because we do not know were he lives,” Martha said trying not to cry.
“Well, why didn’t you ask him when he came for my sixth birthday?” I yelled.
“I have my reasons,” Martha said choking down a tear.
“This is the worst birthday present ever! Uggg,” I said as I marched off to my room.
“I’m sorry we have to move on your birthday,” Martha said.
I was four foot ten. I have short brown hair and bright ocean blue eyes. I was skinny like a twig. Bella on the other hand was four foot seven. She had mom’s supermodel body and blond hair. Martha grabbed the last boxes and put them in the back of the moving van.
“Bella go get in the car and tell Cody to get down here,” Martha shouted from the bottom of the stairs.
Bella walked into Cody’s room and found him lying in the place were his bed use to be. He had his face in his arms.
“Mom wants use downstairs because we’re leaving,” Bella said.
“Okay I’m coming,” I said.
Chapter 1
My life was a little normal until right before my 13th birthday. That’s when everything went different.
I opened the front door and dropped my backpack on the floor. Let’s see what’s for snack today I thought to myself as I walked into the kitchen.
“There are cookies on the counter,” Martha said from the stairs.
“Thanks Mom,” I said as I shoved a cookie into my mouth.
“Hey Ma can I have a sleepover with a couple of my friends?” I asked.
“Umm… When do you want this sleepover?” Martha asked.
“This Friday and Saturday,” I said
“So in a couple of days I think that will be okay,” said Martha
I then left the kitchen and walked up stairs to my bedroom. I opened the door and found a folded pile of cloths on my bed. I hurried and put them away in my drawers and sat down on my bed. I turned on the TV looking for something to watch but nothing good was on. I grabbed the phone sitting on the side of my bed. I then punched in Tanner and Trent’s phone number.
“Hello Anderson resident,” A woman said over the phone.
“Hello Mrs. Anderson this is Cody,” I said.
“Hey Cody how are you?” Mrs. Anderson said
“I’m good is Tanner or Trent there?” I asked
“Yes which one would you like to talk to?” Mrs. Anderson asked.
“It doesn’t matter,” I said.
“Well then I just get Tanner,” Mrs. Anderson said.
“Hello,” Tanner said.
“Hey Tanner,” I said
“Hey Cody how is it going,” Tanner said.
“Good I was wondering if you and Trent want to have a sleepover Friday night,” I asked.
“Well, let me ask,” Tanner said as he put the phone on hold and ran right across the hall to the computer room where his brother was playing World of Warcraft.
Tanner was a normal size boy with reddish orange hair. He had dark green eyes. He had a football player build even though he hated football. Trent had bright blond hair which is almost white. Trent had really light brown eyes. He also had a football build as well but loved to do gymnastics. Tanner and Trent are both five feet tall.
“Hey, Trent, do you want to have a sleepover at Cody’s house this Friday?” Tanner asked.
“Yah sure we better check with mom first,” Trent said.
The twins walked down the hall and into the kitchen where their mom was cooking some soup for dinner. Mrs. Anderson was a short woman with auburn hair, tan skin, and a deep blue eye color.
“Mom can we sleepover at Cody’s house on Friday?” Tanner asked.
“I don’t know,” Mrs. Anderson said.
“Please pretty pretty please with a cherry on top,” Begged Trent.
“Fine,” Mrs. Anderson said.
“Yes,” The twins said at the same time.
Tanner ran over to the phone and turned it off hold.
“Hello you still there,” Tanner asked.
“Yep,” I answered.
“We can have the sleepover with you,” Tanner said.
“That’s great,” I said.
“Kay, what time do you want us to come over at?” Tanner asked.
“Well, if you can come right after school,” I said
“Okay, then see you later,” Tanner said
“Bye,” I said.
I hung up the phone and hopped off my bed. Then opened the door and ran down the stairs. Then I walked over to where I had dropped my backpack. I had just started to unzip my front pocket when Bella opened the front door and wacked me in the back.
“Oh… sorry,” said Bella as she walked by.
“Its okay,” I said as I rubbed my back
“Hey Bell Mom make cookies. They’re on the counter.” I said
“Thanks,” Bella said as she walked into the kitchen and picked up two cookies.
She started to eat one of the cookies when Mom came down the stairs. Martha was in a blue sparkly dress. That dad gave to her. She had on white high heels and her blue jeweled earrings.
“I’m going with Lysa out to eat and to plan our college reunion,” Martha said as she walked down the stairs.
“Do not forget to take Mrs. Lysa Anderson about the sleepover with her two children. Like what time and for how long,” I said.
“I will,” said Martha as she opened the door and left.
Martha jumped into the silver minivan and drove off. I decided to go and practice the piano. I walked down the hall and the stairs to the basement. That is were we stored and practiced our music. I played many instruments. They are the piano, clarinet, drums, flute, cello, guitar, and baritone saxophone. I sat down at the piano bench and stared to play some of the songs I had memorized. My favorite was Fur Elise.
“Hey Bella will you come and do a duet with me?” I asked
“Sure I’ll be right there,” Bella said
When Bella came down we started looking through our stack of music and duets. We found a couple of our favorites. We stared with piano duets. We started with Believe then went to songs for the Lion King. We then moved on to me on the clarinet and Bella on the Flute. Bella played many interments also. She played the piano, flute, violin, cello, bass guitar, and the drums as well. On clarinet and flute we played Pirates of the Caribbean and Can’t You Feel the Love Tonight. We ended up playing for two hours and we need to eat.
So we went up stairs to cook some dinner. We started looking through the pantry to find something to eat. We then knew what we wanted to eat. I stared making the Mack and Cheese. She started on the fruit salad. Within ten minutes we were ready to eat our yummy dinner. I started to set the table while Bella made the lemonade to drink.
After dinner we did the dishes. I washed she dried and rinsed them. When that was finished we started to play go fish. I won three times and Bella won two. At eight we got ready for bed. We then watched a movie in my room for awhile. At nine thirty Mom came home from her dinner.
“Okay guys time for bed.” Martha said.
“Okay goodnight Bella,” I said
Bella walked out of the room and into her room just right down the hall. She jumped under her covers and went to sleep. Mom came and sat on my bed.
“So how was dinner?” I asked.
“Great, we went to Olive Garden and planned our reunion,” Martha said.
“That’s fun so when’s your reunion?”I asked.
“One month from your birthday,” She said.
“So March 16th huh,” I said.
“Yep that’s correct,” Martha said as she stood up from sitting on my bed.
“Goodnight Mom,” I said.
“Goodnight Cody,” Martha said as she walked out of my bedroom and closed the door.
I laid there on my bed staring at the sealing. I was wondering what tomorrow would be like. What I would do in school and at home. What homework is due and if I finished it. I also laid there thinking of why had my dad left. Why would he leave a mother with two children one being only six months old and the other being three? Why? Was he a drinker or a smoker? No he wouldn’t do that would he? Was he an illegal immigrant? Well, he did speak many languages. Maybe he was killed after my sixth birthday. I wonder if we know if he is still a live. I don’t know but I really miss having him around even though I hardly knew him. Maybe mom knows. I’ll ask her tomorrow. That was it after that I fell asleep.
My alarm clock went off at 6:20. As soon as it went off I was awake. I sat up from my bed. I jumped out and walked over to my drawers. I hurried and pulled on some jeans and a green t-shirt. I quietly walked down the stairs to kitchen. I grabbed a bowl from the dishwasher. I poured some cereal into my bowl and added some milk. I sat down at the big round table and started eat the cereal. When I was finished I made my lunch. After that I walked up stairs to the bathroom. I did my hair and brushed my teeth. When I had finished my sister came out the shower dressed in a towel. Bella walked over to her room and opened the door.
At 7:42 my bus came and picked me up. At school I had to go to math first. After math I went to band. After band I had lunch. After lunch my next two classes were with Tanner and Trent. Those classes were English and foods. I had fun in those classes because they are some of the fun classes I have. I walked home from the bus stop and walked in the house. I ran upstairs to my room and turned on the TV and started watching Mythbusters.
The next two days went by fast. Finally it was Friday. The day I was going t o hang out with Tanner and Trent. After school they walked over to my house. I opened the door and saw Lysa and my mom sitting at the table playing cards. Tanner, Trent, and I ran up stairs to my bedroom. We sat on the bed and turned on the TV so that we could play the Wii. I put in Mario Kart and we started playing.
“Boy’s time for dinner,” Mom said.
“We’ll be right down one second,” I said.
We finished our race and turned of the Wii. I was the last one out of the room so I turned closed the door. We raced down the stairs and into the kitchen and sat at the table. We had breakfast for dinner. It was my chose. We had pancakes, waffles, muffins, and fruit on the table. After dinner we went back up stairs to my bedroom and laid out the sleeping bags. After that we started playing Super Smash Brothers Brawl. We played till about midnight and then we went to bed.
